How does Hosseni portray Hassan ?

Hosseni uses many similes to create the character of Hassan in the audience's mind and which are symbolic to his characters meaning in the novel. Hassan is describes in the novel as being, "like a lamb." This shows, even though he sticks up for Amir and himself in the past, he is still lost, without a mother. It also shows that even though he is a strong character, at times he is also weak like a lamb as he is quite small and fragile.
